Menurut Thom Haye, sulit untuk mendefinisikan dengan satu kata saja apa yang dirasakan Beckham saat itu. Ada rasa haru, bahagia, sekaligus lega yang terpancar dari raut wajah pemain jebolan Diklat Persib tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ya, sulit untuk menjelaskan perasaannya. Saya rasa dia juga mengatakannya, itu seperti campuran emosi yang luar biasa,\u201d ujar Haye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sebagai pemain yang dekat dengan Beckham di dalam maupun luar lapangan, Haye menyoroti berbagai ekspresi yang ditunjukkan Beckham saat bermain di Timnas. Baginya, melihat Beckham berjuang hingga meneteskan air mata adalah bukti betapa besarnya cinta dan tanggung jawab pemain bernomor punggung 7 tersebut untuk negara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Saya melihat dia menangis, saya juga melihat dia merayakan. Saya melihat semuanya bercampur jadi satu. Jadi banyak emosi, tapi saya sangat senang untuknya. Saya rasa itu momen yang sangat membanggakan,\u201d katanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thom Haye berharap ketajaman Beckham tidak berhenti sampai di sini saja. Ia ingin melihat Beckham terus mencatatkan namanya di papan skor, baik saat membela Timnas Indonesia maupun saat membela Persib Bandung di kompetisi domestik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
