Striker asal Montenegro itu menegaskan gestur yang ia lakukan sama sekali tidak memiliki maksud negatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menurut Sekulic, simbol dua jari yang diperlihatkannya saat melakukan victory lap merupakan bentuk penghormatan kepada bendera Montenegro yang dibawa salah seorang pendukung di Stadion Si Jalak Harupat. Ia mengaku baru mengetahui bahwa gestur tersebut memiliki makna yang berbeda di Indonesia sehingga menimbulkan kesalahpahaman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Pada pertandingan terakhir (lawan Arema FC) ada semacam masalah yang tidak saya ketahui tentang dua jari yang saya tunjukkan. Saya melakukannya karena melihat bendera Montenegro. Di negara saya, ketika kami melihat bendera kami, kami memberikan penghormatan seperti itu,&#8221; ujar Sekulic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Setelah memahami adanya perbedaan budaya dan persepsi, Sekulic memutuskan mengubah selebrasinya pada pertandingan berikutnya. Saat mencetak gol kemenangan Persib ke gawang DPMM FC, ia memilih mengacungkan jari telunjuk dan kelingking sebagai bentuk selebrasi yang berbeda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Tetapi sekarang saya melakukannya dengan tangan terbuka (mengacungkan jari telunjuk dan kelingking). Saya sudah belajar sekarang. (Sebelumnya) tidak ada yang memberi tahu saya tentang hal itu,&#8221; katanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sekulic berharap penjelasan tersebut dapat mengakhiri kesalahpahaman yang sempat muncul di kalangan suporter.
