Kini Persib kembali mengumumkan perpisahan dengan salah satu pemain senior yang menghuni sektor lini belakang Victor Igbonefo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy CEO PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Adhitia Putra Herawan, menyampaikan rasa terima kasih yang mendalam atas segala yang telah diberikan Igbonefo kepada klub dan Bobotoh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Hatur nuhun, Papa, atas dedikasi, kerja keras, dan kontribusinya untuk Persib. Sosokmu tak tergantikan, dan jasamu akan selalu menjadi bagian dari perjalanan klub ini. Sukses untuk langkah selanjutnya dalam karier maupun kehidupan,&#8221; ujar Adhitia dikutip dari laman resmi Persib (03\/06\/2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bek tangguh berdarah Nigeria karib disapa Papa ini pertama kali bergabung dengan skuad Persib pada musim 2018 di bawah asuhan pelatih Mario Gomez. Sejak kala itu, sosoknya menjadi bagian penting di lini pertahanan Maung Bandung. Di musim yang menjadi debutnya, Igbonefo tampil impresif dalam 27 dari 34 laga yang dijalani Persib kala itu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sempat hijrah ke Liga Thailand, Igbonefo kembali ke Bandung jelang dimulainya Liga 1 2020. Namun, pandemi Covid-19 membatasi langkahnya di musim tersebut, dengan hanya tiga pertandingan yang bisa ia lakoni sebelum kompetisi dihentikan pada Maret 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pandemi berlangsung selama hampir 2 tahun, Igbonefo tetap menepi di Bandung dan menunggu sembari pandemi usai. Hingga akhirnya menjadi bagian dari pencapaian luar biasa: membawa Persib meraih gelar juara Liga 1 dua musim berturut-turut, yakni musim 2023\/24 dan 2024\/25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selema mengenakan jersey Biru, statistik mencatat tampil dalam total 85 pertandingan di Liga 1 dan satu pertandingan di ajang AFC Champions League Two 2024\/25.
